Durante una reciente conferencia de prensa, la Sociedad de Capitanes y Pr\u00e1cticos del Norte denunci\u00f3 que estas industrias est\u00e1n utilizando enormes cantidades de agua para su producci\u00f3n, lo que agrava la situaci\u00f3n del r\u00edo. Seg\u00fan Gustavo Maldonado, miembro de la Sociedad, las arroceras emplean alrededor de 1.432 litros de agua por kilo de arroz producido, una cifra alarmante cuando se considera que la producci\u00f3n anual ronda el mill\u00f3n de toneladas.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de las respuestas de la industria arrocera que minimizan el impacto de sus operaciones, los capitanes aseguran que el deterioro del caudal es evidente. Bernab\u00e9 Garc\u00eda, presidente de la Sociedad de Capitanes, alert\u00f3 que si no se toman medidas urgentes, el r\u00edo Paraguay podr\u00eda volverse intransitable en los pr\u00f3ximos cinco a\u00f1os. Seg\u00fan Garc\u00eda, la temporada de trabajo para los navieros se ha reducido dr\u00e1sticamente debido a las bajantes, lo que afecta tanto a la econom\u00eda del sector como al comercio fluvial del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, se cuestiona la falta de acciones concretas por parte de las autoridades. Maldonado inst\u00f3 al Ministerio del Ambiente (Mades) a realizar controles m\u00e1s estrictos sobre el uso del agua y su impacto en el r\u00edo, mientras que \u00d3scar Gonz\u00e1lez, tambi\u00e9n capit\u00e1n, reclam\u00f3 al Ministerio de Obras P\u00fablicas (MOPC) mayor participaci\u00f3n de los navieros en las decisiones sobre los dragados, ya que estos son esenciales para mejorar la navegabilidad del r\u00edo.<\/p>\n<p>La crisis h\u00eddrica que afecta al r\u00edo Paraguay es cada vez m\u00e1s grave y requiere de una intervenci\u00f3n inmediata por parte de las autoridades para
