De esta forma estos experimentan cambios dr\u00e1sticos en su alimentaci\u00f3n y su gasto energ\u00e9tico.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n se bas\u00f3 en el monitoreo de 20 osos polares mediante collares equipados con c\u00e1maras y GPS. Los resultados arrojaron alarmantes evidencias de c\u00f3mo las alteraciones del paisaje \u00e1rtico complican fuertemente la capacidad de los osos polares para encontrar alimento, afectando gravemente al equilibrio ecol\u00f3gico de su h\u00e1bitat.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan investigaciones anteriores, el verano \u00e1rtico en esta regi\u00f3n de la Bah\u00eda de Hudson tuvo un aumento de 3 semanas m\u00e1s desde 1979 al 2015, por lo que los osos pasan alrededor de 130 d\u00edas en tierra firme, lejos de sus presas m\u00e1s comunes en el mar.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Pagano, autor principal del estudio y miembro del Centro de Ciencias de Alaska del Instituto Geol\u00f3gico de Estados Unidos, aclar\u00f3 que los osos polares no tienen estrategias de comportamiento ni energ\u00e9ticas para evitar la perdida de peso durante periodos cada vez mas largos en tierra firme. De esta forma,\u00a0 los resultados tambi\u00e9n demostraron que los osos estar\u00edan perdiendo aproximadamente 1 kilogramo por d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>Si bien los alimentos que encuentran en tierra firme (bayas, huesos, aves, cuernos de alces y renos y vegetaci\u00f3n) les provee cierta energ\u00eda, los osos polares gastan mas energ\u00eda para acceder al mismo. Permanecer m\u00e1s tiempo en tierra sin alimentarse de focas, presas comunes y altas en energ\u00eda, impactar\u00e1 negativamente su condici\u00f3n f\u00edsica, su supervivencia y su \u00e9xito
