Desde agosto, los incendios forestales en Paraguay, Brasil y Bolivia han generado una acumulaci\u00f3n preocupante de contaminantes en la atm\u00f3sfera, seg\u00fan confirm\u00f3 la directora general del Aire del Ministerio del Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible (MADES), Gilda Torres.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl ambiente est\u00e1 seriamente comprometido por la cantidad de humo y part\u00edculas contaminantes liberadas desde el inicio de los incendios. Esto afecta directamente la calidad del aire que respiramos, y lamentablemente la falta de lluvias importantes no nos ayuda a limpiar el ambiente,\u201d se\u00f1al\u00f3 Torres.<\/p>\n<p>El fen\u00f3meno de \u201cLa Ni\u00f1a\u201d dificulta la llegada de lluvias continuas que podr\u00edan mejorar la situaci\u00f3n. Esto significa que, si las condiciones clim\u00e1ticas no cambian, la poblaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda seguir expuesta al humo hasta finales de este a\u00f1o o incluso hasta principios de 2025.<\/p>\n<p>El MADES est\u00e1 monitoreando la calidad del aire en varias ciudades como Asunci\u00f3n, San Lorenzo, Villa Elisa y en la regi\u00f3n del Chaco a trav\u00e9s de la plataforma <strong>Aire Paraguay<\/strong>, disponible en l\u00ednea. Adem\u00e1s, trabajan de forma conjunta con la Entidad Itaipu-Binacional en el monitoreo de zonas del este del pa\u00eds como Ciudad del Este y Hernandarias.<\/p>\n<p>Ante este panorama, el MADES insta a la ciudadan\u00eda a tomar medidas preventivas para proteger su salud, especialmente a las personas con afecciones respiratorias, ni\u00f1os, embarazadas y adultos mayores. Entre las recomendaciones principales est\u00e1n evitar realizar actividades f\u00edsicas al aire libre, usar mascarillas y no encender fuegos innecesarios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLa mejor manera de protegerse es evitar la exposici\u00f3n al aire contaminado. Continuaremos informando a la poblaci\u00f3n sobre las actualizaciones de la calidad del aire y las medidas que se deben tomar para mitigar los efectos de la contaminaci\u00f3n,\u201d agreg\u00f3 la
