Este incremento es consecuencia directa de los incendios forestales que est\u00e1n devastando amplias zonas del pa\u00eds, avivados por la peor sequ\u00eda jam\u00e1s registrada en Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan MetSul, el humo producido por los incendios contiene mon\u00f3xido de carbono, adem\u00e1s de otros componentes qu\u00edmicos peligrosos. Esta elevada concentraci\u00f3n de CO ha sido captada por el sat\u00e9lite Sentinel-2, que forma parte del sistema de vigilancia atmosf\u00e9rica Copernicus, operado por la Uni\u00f3n Europea.<\/p>\n<p>El mon\u00f3xido de carbono es un gas t\u00f3xico que, en altas concentraciones, puede causar graves problemas respiratorios y de salud p\u00fablica. Los incendios que contin\u00faan en Brasil no solo representan una amenaza para la biodiversidad y los ecosistemas locales, sino que tambi\u00e9n afectan la calidad del aire en grandes \u00e1reas del pa\u00eds y potencialmente en regiones vecinas. Se trata de una situaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica que requiere atenci\u00f3n urgente por parte de las autoridades locales e internacionales.<\/p>\n<div
