La inauguraci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 con la presencia del Presidente de la Rep\u00fablica de China (Taiw\u00e1n), Se\u00f1or Chen Shui-bian en mayo del 2006. En ese momento plantaron, un cipr\u00e9s (por Taiw\u00e1n) y un lapacho (por Paraguay) \u00e1rboles simb\u00f3licos de los dos pa\u00edses amigos.<\/p>\n<p>La plaza est\u00e1 ubicada en la isla del primer lago, formando parte del Paseo de los Lagos. Tiene un bello puente de acceso de 10 metros de longitud, jardiner\u00eda, bancos, camineros, iluminaci\u00f3n y una glorieta con caracter\u00edsticas de la arquitectura oriental. Hasta hoy d\u00eda la Embajada de Taiw\u00e1n realiza mejoras en la plaza.
