El legislador se\u00f1al\u00f3 que el \u00e1rea alberga una biodiversidad de gran valor y cumple un papel fundamental en la protecci\u00f3n de recursos h\u00eddricos, entre ellos el Sistema Acu\u00edfero Yrend\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Esp\u00ednola sostuvo que cualquier proyecto que implique intervenir el territorio debe estar respaldado por estudios cient\u00edficos que permitan conocer previamente sus posibles impactos. Tambi\u00e9n remarc\u00f3 la necesidad de respetar los derechos y la participaci\u00f3n de las comunidades ind\u00edgenas que habitan en la zona.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Si bien reconoci\u00f3 la importancia de atraer inversiones y generar oportunidades laborales, el diputado advirti\u00f3 que el desarrollo econ\u00f3mico no deber\u00eda realizarse a costa del patrimonio natural ni de las reservas de agua del pa\u00eds. En ese sentido, plante\u00f3 la necesidad de encontrar un equilibrio entre el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico y la conservaci\u00f3n ambiental.<\/p>\n<p>El debate sobre los M\u00e9danos del Chaco volvi\u00f3 a cobrar fuerza en el Congreso Nacional a ra\u00edz de un proyecto que busca habilitar actividades econ\u00f3micas dentro del \u00e1rea protegida.
