Seg\u00fan los documentos analizados, el desmonte ocurri\u00f3 entre 2018 y 2020 en un territorio reconocido por el Estado paraguayo y protegido por medidas cautelares de la Comisi\u00f3n Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (CIDH).<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">De acuerdo con la publicaci\u00f3n, el Instituto Forestal Nacional (Infona) concluy\u00f3 que la deforestaci\u00f3n constitu\u00eda una falta grav\u00edsima a la legislaci\u00f3n forestal y recomend\u00f3 la apertura de un sumario administrativo, que contemplaba una multa de hasta 10.000 jornales, equivalente a unos 170.000 d\u00f3lares, adem\u00e1s de la obligaci\u00f3n de restaurar el bosque afectado. Sin embargo, la investigaci\u00f3n sostiene que demoras en la notificaci\u00f3n y errores en el procedimiento permitieron que la causa prescribiera sin que se aplicaran sanciones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">El medio tambi\u00e9n inform\u00f3 que, durante una visita realizada entre marzo y abril de 2026, acompa\u00f1ada por integrantes de la comunidad Ayoreo Chaidi, se constat\u00f3 mediante im\u00e1genes captadas con drones que la deforestaci\u00f3n continuaba en el \u00e1rea afectada. La zona forma parte del territorio donde habita el \u00faltimo pueblo ind\u00edgena en aislamiento voluntario fuera de la Amazon\u00eda sudamericana, situaci\u00f3n que mantiene la preocupaci\u00f3n de las comunidades ind\u00edgenas y de organizaciones ambientales.<\/p>\n<p>El caso volvi\u00f3 a poner en debate la protecci\u00f3n de los territorios ind\u00edgenas y el cumplimiento de las medidas cautelares dictadas por la CIDH.
