Se trata de TOI-791 b y TOI-791 c, dos mundos con un tama\u00f1o comparable al de J\u00fapiter, pero con una masa mucho menor de lo esperado para planetas gigantes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">El hallazgo fue realizado por un equipo internacional liderado por la Universidad de Oxford, con participaci\u00f3n de instituciones cient\u00edficas de Francia y Reino Unido. Ambos planetas se encuentran alrededor de una estrella similar al Sol ubicada a unos 1.113 a\u00f1os luz de la Tierra y fueron detectados al observar peque\u00f1as variaciones en el brillo de su estrella cuando pasaban frente a ella.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Los investigadores determinaron que TOI-791 b tiene casi el mismo tama\u00f1o que J\u00fapiter, pero posee apenas el 3% de su masa, mientras que TOI-791 c es ligeramente m\u00e1s grande y cuenta con cerca del 5,9% de la masa del gigante del Sistema Solar. Esta combinaci\u00f3n de gran volumen y bajo peso hace que su densidad sea extremadamente reducida, similar a la del algod\u00f3n de az\u00facar.<\/p>\n<p>El descubrimiento plantea nuevas preguntas sobre la formaci\u00f3n y evoluci\u00f3n de los planetas gigantes.
