El fen\u00f3meno se produce por el aumento sostenido de la temperatura del agua por encima de los niveles habituales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"462\" data-end=\"746\"><span dir=\"auto\">Seg\u00fan el \u00faltimo informe del organismo estadounidense, en mayo aproximadamente el 28% de los oc\u00e9anos ya registraba condiciones de calor extremo. Las zonas afectadas incluyen sectores del Pac\u00edfico, la regi\u00f3n de la Corriente de Kuroshio, el mar Mediterr\u00e1neo y \u00e1reas del oc\u00e9ano Atl\u00e1ntico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"748\" data-end=\"1100\"><span dir=\"auto\">La NOAA explic\u00f3 que este escenario est\u00e1 relacionado, entre otros factores, con la presencia del fen\u00f3meno clim\u00e1tico El Ni\u00f1o, que genera un calentamiento anormal de las aguas del Pac\u00edfico. El organismo prev\u00e9 que este evento podr\u00eda intensificarse durante los pr\u00f3ximos meses, con temperaturas mar\u00edtimas superiores a los valores normales en varias regiones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1516\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span dir=\"auto\">Especialistas y organizaciones ambientales se\u00f1alan que el calentamiento de los oc\u00e9anos puede generar consecuencias importantes, como alteraciones en los ecosistemas marinos, aumento del nivel del mar y mayores riesgos de fen\u00f3menos extremos.
