El animal, conocido popularmente como \u201clobop\u00e9\u201d, forma parte de la fauna silvestre caracter\u00edstica de los arroyos y del r\u00edo Paran\u00e1, donde cumple un papel importante dentro del equilibrio natural.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"417\" data-end=\"715\"><span dir=\"auto\">La presencia de esta especie suele ser considerada un indicador de buena salud ambiental en los cursos de agua. Por ese motivo, la muerte de ejemplares genera preocupaci\u00f3n entre pobladores y defensores del medio ambiente, quienes advierten sobre el deterioro progresivo de los ecosistemas acu\u00e1ticos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"1031\"><span dir=\"auto\">Seg\u00fan se se\u00f1ala, las nutrias se enfrentan a diversas amenazas en su h\u00e1bitat natural. Entre las principales causas se encuentran la contaminaci\u00f3n de arroyos y humedales, la destrucci\u00f3n de espacios naturales, las redes de pesca y otros factores vinculados a la actividad humana que afectan directamente a la fauna nativa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1033\" data-end=\"1329\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\"><span dir=\"auto\">La situaci\u00f3n volvi\u00f3 a poner en debate la necesidad de proteger los recursos naturales de la regi\u00f3n.
