{"id":1143,"date":"2024-04-05T14:32:53","date_gmt":"2024-04-05T12:32:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/greentourmagazine.com\/v1\/?p=1143"},"modified":"2024-04-05T14:32:53","modified_gmt":"2024-04-05T12:32:53","slug":"presentan-iniciativas-para-la-proteccion-del-medioambiente-y-la-biodiversidad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/greentourmagazine.com\/v1\/index.php\/2024\/04\/05\/presentan-iniciativas-para-la-proteccion-del-medioambiente-y-la-biodiversidad\/","title":{"rendered":"PRESENTAN INICIATIVAS PARA LA PROTECCI\u00d3N DEL MEDIOAMBIENTE Y LA BIODIVERSIDAD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>El Ministerio del Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible (MADES) y el Fondo para el Medio Ambiente Mundial (GEF) presentaron dos iniciativas fundamentales para la protecci\u00f3n del medioambiente y la biodiversidad en Paraguay.<\/p>\n<p>Los proyectos \u00abFortalecimiento del Sistema de \u00c1reas Protegidas y Mejora de su Sostenibilidad Financiera\u00bb, en colaboraci\u00f3n con The International Conservation Caucus Foundation (ICCF), y \u00abConservando el Chaco Paraguayo en beneficio del jaguar y de las personas\u00bb, en asociaci\u00f3n con Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), fueron lanzados con la presencia del titular del Mades, Rolando De Barros Barreto y autoridades e invitados especiales.<\/p>\n<p>El primero de estos proyectos busca fortalecer la gesti\u00f3n y protecci\u00f3n de las \u00e1reas protegidas del pa\u00eds, as\u00ed como mejorar su financiamiento para garantizar su sostenibilidad a largo plazo. Se centra en mejorar la capacidad institucional del Mades, fortalecer los sistemas de monitoreo y vigilancia, y desarrollar estrategias para involucrar al sector privado y la sociedad civil en la conservaci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad.<\/p>\n<p>Por otro lado, el proyecto \u00abConservando el Chaco Paraguayo en beneficio del jaguar y de las personas\u00bb tiene como objetivo convertir a los jaguares en la especie emblem\u00e1tica del desarrollo sostenible. Se enfocar\u00e1 en proteger esta especie y promover una econom\u00eda sostenible en la Reserva de la Bi\u00f3sfera del Chaco, mediante la reducci\u00f3n de amenazas y el impulso de una vida salvaje que beneficie a la poblaci\u00f3n local. Este proyecto, con una duraci\u00f3n de cuatro a\u00f1os y con inicio previsto en 2025, se centrar\u00e1 en tres \u00e1reas protegidas y dos comunidades ind\u00edgenas en la zona del Chaco Paraguayo.<\/p>\n<p>Estas iniciativas representan un compromiso conjunto para conservar y proteger el medioambiente y la biodiversidad en Paraguay, con miras a un desarrollo sostenible y equitativo para las generaciones futuras.<\/p>\n<p>Estuvieron presentes por el Mades el Lic.
