Nuevas reformas y prohibiciones marcan un avance global hacia el reconocimiento de los animales como seres sintientes.<\/i><\/p>\n

El 10 de diciembre, D\u00eda de los Derechos Humanos y Animales, se destaca como un momento clave para reflexionar sobre los avances en derechos animales logrados en 2024. A continuaci\u00f3n, una recopilaci\u00f3n de hitos que muestran c\u00f3mo el mundo avanza hacia un trato m\u00e1s \u00e9tico y respetuoso con los animales:<\/p>\n

1.La \u201cDeclaraci\u00f3n de Buenos Aires\u201d en Argentina: Este documento exhorta a los tres poderes del Estado a reconocer a los animales como seres sintientes y sujetos de derechos. Se alinea con las Declaraciones de Cambridge y Toulon, que refuerzan la noci\u00f3n de que los animales poseen consciencia y sensibilidad.<\/p>\n

2.Reforma Constitucional en M\u00e9xico: La Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico incluy\u00f3 a los animales en la Constituci\u00f3n. Esta reforma busca garantizar su protecci\u00f3n, cuidado y conservaci\u00f3n como parte de las responsabilidades del Estado.<\/p>\n

3.Prohibici\u00f3n de las corridas de toros en Colombia: Este pa\u00eds ha dado un paso hist\u00f3rico al eliminar estas pr\u00e1cticas crueles. Desde ahora, se restringe el acceso de menores a los eventos, y la prohibici\u00f3n total entrar\u00e1 en vigor en 2028.<\/p>\n

4.Ley de Grandes Simios en Espa\u00f1a: Avanza un proyecto que reconoce a los grandes simios como seres con alta sensibilidad. Esta legislaci\u00f3n busca proteger su integridad, prohibiendo su uso en experimentos m\u00e9dicos y espect\u00e1culos.<\/p>\n

5.Prohibici\u00f3n de delfinarios en B\u00e9lgica: B\u00e9lgica se suma a la lista de pa\u00edses que protegen a los delfines al prohibir su cautiverio. Es el s\u00e9ptimo pa\u00eds del mundo en implementar esta medida, destacando el sufrimiento que estas especies experimentan lejos de su h\u00e1bitat natural.<\/p>\n

6.Restricci\u00f3n a la venta minorista de mascotas en Nueva York: La nueva ley proh\u00edbe la venta de gatos, perros y conejos en tiendas, promoviendo la adopci\u00f3n responsable y frenando la actividad de criaderos no regulados.<\/p>\n

Estos logros son resultado del esfuerzo conjunto de activistas, investigadores y personas comprometidas con la causa.
